Hi all,
Does anyone have any experience of swopping over these switches - thought it would be a straight swop but the Classic has less spade connectors on the middle steam switch and it doesn't appear to be straightforward.

The wiring diagram on here for an Original Baby Gaggia circa 1980 almost matches the wiring on my old orange baby but the wiring for a Classic looks completely different in layout terms.

Welcome to GUG! I don't think we have the wiring diagram for your machine but feel free to post it if you have one. It might be easier to help you sort out what you plan to do. It will not be easy to find one who has an actual experience on swapping switches for the models mentioned.

Thanks for your reply. I attach a diagram I found. The only reason I'm swopping is I broke the old switch and this is the only replacement I could find. I'd happily swop the old switch over for a used replacement if I could source one.

The website suggests the Classic switch is the one to use but does require some wiring knowledge to swop them over. I have some knowledge to be able to identify what I have but the Classic switch is quite different although its the same size and has similar power, steam and pump switches.
